– What's out there? The meaning of life with Dr.
Robert Wheeler < Loved it!
you are really a good webmaster. The site loading speed is incredible. It seems that you are doing any unique trick. Furthermore, The contents are masterpiece. you have done a fantastic job on this topic!
Your article Deep Think is important. Most of us are too busy with immediate activities that we rarely think about why we do some of these things. a lot of them are a waste of time.
Thinking about those important things isn’t possible because of what I’m dominated with on TV. Can we get them to back off from treating us as gullible dumbbells.
In your article “Moving Forward” you write about humanity’s development from a ceaseless increase in complexity. What are your thoughts about where humanity might be in 50,000 years?
Good question! As humans increase in complexity and adapt to new situations, I think the greatest changes will occur in the brain enabling greater capabilities of personal consciousness. Reliable use will be available for prayer, telepathy, and psychokinesis. Competition, power struggle, and violence will give way to cooperation and contribution to the search for explanation of existence. Development of human nature similar to that proposed by Teilhard de Chardin will progress, although I don’t think the Omega Point or apocalypse will ever occur. Remember that the cosmologists tell us that we have only about 2 billion years to develop a form of life that survives material destruction. What do you think?
My partner and I absolutely love your blog and find
a lot of your post’s to be exactly I’m looking for.
Would you offer guest writers to write content to suit your needs?
I wouldn’t mind creating a post or elaborating on a lot
of the subjects you write related to here. Again, awesome blog!
Welcome, start by writing a Blog comment.
This is deep stuff that I’ve been wondering about for a long time. Do many others have these concerns?
This concern is built into all of us, either by design or evolutionary adaption. Pursuing it is a fundamental need, but in our culture it has been subjugated to more pressing needs like food, money, and entertainment. Ultimate concerns lie in our sub-conscious mind creating a feeling of dissatisfaction and sometimes boil up causing depression, anxiety, or even suicide.
My information comes mainly from study and experience with psychology, history, and theology. It’s documented in Climbing Higher.
The ideas are explained and scientifically supported in Climbing Higher available on Amazon for $3.99.
Bob,, very , very interesting ! I am going to read the book you gave Bill, Climbing Higher, May He I will figure out what makes me tick!
The major reason for the OntosScience website was to fill this need. Post a comment on the BLOG page and it will start a discussion.
My main purpose is to stimulate publicity of my themes, so I am also looking for similar blogs.
The goal of Ontosscience is to make people more aware of the “ontological imperative.” This is our innate need to strive for a sense of purpose that gives meaning to our lives. That striving has been related to personal health, well-being and performance. Do you think this is important?
Great, but how can we get ontosscience to be emphasized by our politicians instead of power and aggression?
Wow, this is something everyone should read; but, most of my friends are too busy.
Yes, most of us are too busy “getting &spending” to think about less pressing needs.
I have been studying the relationship between spirituality, mind, and physical reality for many years. The interactions of consciousness and matter is especially fascinating while equally frustrating.
Dr. Wheeler’s approach outlined in his two books has been quite useful for me to distill the complexities of the various fields into manageable and understandable portions. His use of appropriate allegories makes the reading about otherwise complex subjects very enjoyable and engaging.
I am looking forward to more illumination from his writing and website .
I add to previous comment that this is a needed attempt to answer our questions about the meaning of life.
Mystics, philosophers and scientists have been and are still trying to answer the fundamental questions that may helps us to transit in this fantastic , tragic at times ,and beautiful road of our lives.
Thanks for the comment. Now we have to get the media, leaders, politicians, and educators concerned.
